Scientific studies show that relaxation is crucial to wellbeing. This evening will guide you in meditation, gentle restorative yoga, and deep relaxation to reset your nervous system, clear your mind, and heal body and spirit.
It's spring, time for a rebirth. In tandem with the relaxation practices we'll be doing together, we'll be engaging in more renewing meditation, movement, and creative practices to bring new life, energy, and creativity into our writing and our lives.

What we'll be doing together
Rejuvenate the mind through meditation.
We'll practice silent meditation, pranayama and chanting to quiet the mind, get the energy flowing, and unblock. For people with any level of meditation experience.
Reconnect with your body's wisdom. The word "yoga" means union. We'll practice short yoga sets together, meditate, and write so that we can experience a true union of mind, body, and spirit.
The yoga can be modified for all body types; if you prefer gentle or chair yoga, I’ll offer that option for every movement, but if you want to get a workout, I will stretch you and tap into the edge of your strength.
We must relax and rest in order to heal and grow. Scientific studies show the importance of rest for all physical and emotional wellbeing.
You'll be guided in full body relaxation. Let go and allow yourself to be pampered.
Come with a project you're already working on or be guided entirely by the prompts. Be led in a practice of writing that will bring you to greater creative freedom.

I hold a PhD in English from Columbia University, am a certified Yoga teacher, serious student of Thich Nhat Hanh, mother, activist, coach, and woman in today's complex world.
