Join my upcoming FREE Live 90-minute Writing to Heal Class, and also get a 20+page guide with prompts, recordings and more to support your healing journey!

I'm aware that I'm offering this free class on healing at a time when our social and political worlds are under enormous pressure.

Can we trust in healing when we're living in a world where top statesmen tell us that might makes right and it's always been like that?

My response is: Not only can we trust in healing. We must. We can't allow destruction to overtake the power of repair and growth and life.

I've done an enormous amount of healing—from chronic illness, from trauma and PTSD—and I'm passionate about helping others heal.

Writing is one of the most powerful tools for healing, understanding our stories, and coming into greater integration, wellbeing, and purpose.

Scientific studies have shown that expressive writing helps participants heal chronic illness and symptoms of depression by 50%; it even makes people 50% more likely to get the job they apply for. When you work through problems in writing, you feel more aligned with yourself and with the world.

And when we pair writing with embodied practices, meditation, and teachings, it's even more powerful.

In my upcoming free class, I'll be sharing:

  • Scientifically proven benefits of writing to heal
  • What kinds of writing heal and what kinds of writing don’t heal
  • Ways to avoid being retriggered in the writing and healing process
  • Practices to bring together mind and body and embodied writing practices
  • A deeper, more supportive relationship to your story
  • Tools to improve your immune system, mood, sleep, and more
  • Ways to see healing as a lifelong process towards greater purpose and pleasure

In this 90-minute interactive class, I'll share teachings and also make time for you to write and ask questions.

The class is designed for:

  • Anyone healing from illness, loss, grief
  • Anyone who wants to step into greater fullness and overall wellbeing
  • Therapists, doctors, and others who want new tools to help others heal

Choose the time that works best for you.

  • Thursday, January 15th at 3pm ET/ 12pm PT/ 8pm UK

About me: Nadia Colburn, PhD, RYT 200

The author of two award-wining poetry books, I’m an essayist and memoir writer, and my work has been published in more than 80 publications, including The New Yorker, Lion's Roar, Slate, and The Harvard Review. I have a Ph.D. in English and taught at MIT. But I left academia to found the Nadia Colburn online writing school, where I teach using a holistic approach and have worked with thousands of students. In my own journey out of chronic illness and childhood trauma, I’ve done enormous amounts of work—and deep reading in the literature of healing. I’ve healed through talk therapy, EMDR, and somatic therapy, Native American healing, energy healing and more; I’ve developed deep meditation practices, and am a certified yoga teacher. I've guided my one-on-one clients and students in my in-person classes on deep healing journeys, and now I'm excited to share this work online.

I'll hope to see you in the class!
